As a key member of the HQ finance team, this role supports the critical financial accounting activities. You will contribute to the processing of transactions which underpin reporting, alongside operational processes to improve working capital, delivering month end close reporting and preparing reconciled information for the group’s auditors.

Key Responsibilities
Financial
- Ensure financial transactions (invoices, bank, journals) are recorded and reported correctly in SAP Business One System for the EMEA entities
- Operating credit control processes to maximise cash collections and manage financial risk
- Prepare weekly payment runs to be approved by the finance manager
- Delivering monthly close process including reconciliation of bank accounts & other balance sheet accounts, along with journal processing for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, etc.
- Ensure balance sheet controls and reconciliations are completed
- Producing monthly management accounts, providing analysis and insight on business performance
- Assistance with cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Prepare & reconcile VAT returns for review
- Assist the finance manager with the production of annual financial statements and tax returns
- Preparation and provision of information to the Group’s auditors
- Helping the entire finance team drive improvements in processes, controls and documentation
- Supporting the Finance Team on the delivery of ad hoc requests
Qualifications and experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Track record of closing month end efficiently
- Strong Excel skills with understanding of how to handle large data sets
- SAP Business One experience an advantage
- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues across the business at all levels verbally and in writing
